L'oreal Owl's Night

Owl's Night was released as part of the Project Runway collection, along with a few other polishes. This particular one caught my attention because of its "old gold" shimmer. OPI's Private Jet is one of my favorite polishes; this one is quite reminiscent to it. The polish base is a deep taupe-y brown, borderline black. The shimmer is a green-based gold. Old gold would be the most descriptive way to name it. The color is very flattering against my warm skin tone. I believe this is limited edition, so I will be sad to see it go. I wouldn't buy a back up of this because realistically, who actually finishes a bottle of nail polish?

It took two coats to achieve opaqueness. I used China Glaze's base & top coat and this has worn like iron. I'm pretty shocked by it. The last time I [possibly] used a L'oreal nail polish was when I was in elementary. I mainly purchase OPI, China Glaze, and Wet n Wild nail polish because it is of high quality. I never thought much of L'oreal (along with Revlon and other brands), but multiple drugstore brands have been stepping up their game now. Wet n Wild is the biggest winner about that, but I'll leave that for another post. I got about 6 days of full wear. There was visible tip wear, but nothing major. The first and only nail where the polish chipped was minimally on my thumb. As time has gone on of wear, a few other nails have chipped very little. I'm extremely impressed.

I definitely recommend this polish for taupe or dark polish lovers. It's gorgeous, and in my eyes, one of a kind.
